Lag killing people Empty Lag killing people

Today on the server i was just walking around in survival and all of the sudden there was lag. So then i fall out of the world and lose all my things. It wasnt just me because it said a few other people fell through the world. And now it just happened again. Shocked

this happened to me except it was by logging out. is this caused by a plug-in problem?
