Advertising with /msg

Lately, many players have been giving ips to players with /msg. I have been told not to ban but it is still advertising. What you think?

I say 3 day temp ban

Well lets put this in to proportion. If someone advertises I kick then with the reason, don't advertise. If they again advertise it is a complete ban with no return under any circumstances. That's what I do. And think back to when you didn't have /social spy or whatever, when someone else MSG someone else, it didn't affect you or the vast majority of the server, only the ranks who aren't going to leave because they have the responsibility to ban them. By the logic of banning through MSG, no one could see there Skype but the IP is there, the only difference between Skype and MSG is that no one can see their Skype but only the people who wouldn't leave the server can see MSG. So MSG their friend isn't much worse then Skype so by your logic you would need to ban them for using Skype to tell their friend, which is stupid.
